4.0kW Spandrel Mounted Heater ‘Wyville’ Design

The Wyville Infra-red Heater combines two radiant infrared heaters with a traditional-style wrought iron bracket, specifically designed to fit within a spandrel, the space above a column between two arches. The bracket mounts directly to the brickwork between the arches and cleverly ‘wraps’ around the archways, allowing the heaters to be angled into the nave or side aisles without the need to drill into the stonework. As a result, it provides an effective heating solution while preserving the integrity of historic architecture.

This innovative design makes it possible to heat areas of the nave that are typically difficult to reach, particularly due to the height of the arches dividing the nave from the side aisles. Consequently, the Wyville Spandrel Heater offers a practical and unobtrusive option for heating large, open spaces where traditional systems may fall short.
