It also has a built-in surge protector making it particularly useful for the control of short-wave infra-red which has an inherent inrush current on start-up.

This 3kW infra-red dimmer simply and effectively controls the output of infra-red heaters up to a 3kW load. Turn the single knob from ‘off’ through 0% to 100% to adjust the power input and control the heat output. This compact unit, the size of a double metal pattress (included), installs easily for a qualified electrician or competent person.
